Lasciando Roma in direzione nord, attraverseremo la verde vallata del Tevere. La prima sosta sarà ad Orvieto per ammirare la stupefacente Cattedrale del 14 secolo, un capolavoro in stile gotico.
We will leave Rome in a northerly direction, crossing the green valley of the Tiber river. Our first stop will be in Orvieto to visit the magnificent 14th century cathedral, a masterpiece of gothic architecture. We will spend the day visiting the Umbria region, covered with olive groves and vineyards.

Il tour prosegue per Assisi, la città mistica di san Francesco. Ancora circondata dalle antiche mura, Assisi fu costruita sulle pendici del Monte Subasio. Visiteremo la Basilica di San Francesco, che custodisce le tomba del santo, e gli affreschi del Giotto e del Cimabue. E' prevista una sosta anche alla basilica di Santa Maria degli Angeli, dove il Santo visse e morì nel 1226. il tour avrà fine con la visita della Chiesa di Santa Chiara.
The region famous for some of the best known Italian wines such as Orvieto, Chianti and Brunello di Montalcino (tip: a stop to do some wine tasting is a must). The itinerary continues with Assisi, the mystic city of St. Francis.
Assisi, still surrounded by the ancient walls, is built on the green slopes of Mount Subasio. Visit of the Basilica of St. Francis, with inside the tomb of the saint and its early renaissance masterpieces of Giotto and Cimabue and the church of St. Mary of the Angels, the site were St. Francis died in 1226.
We finish the tour with a visit of the Church of Santa Chiara, the site where St. Francis was born .
