L'itinerario comincia con la Chiesa di Santa Maria del Popolo (TERRA) con la cappella Chigi, il primo altare della scienza. Si prosegue con il secondo altare della scienza : la Basilica e la Piazza di San Pietro (ARIA), la madre di tutte le chiese, da cui si potà scorgere la maestosa mole di Castel Sant'Angelo, la fortezza dei Papi, famosa per il "passetto", il passaggio segreto che collega il Vaticano con il Castello. Scopriremo gli angeli del Bernini su Ponte Sant'Angelo .
The itinerary starts with the Church of St. Maria del Popolo (EARTH) with the Chigi Chapel, the first altar of science.
The tour continues with the second Altar, St. Peter’s Church and Square (AIR). World’s largest church, mother to all Catholic churches and also known as the museum church. From there you will see the imposing Castel Sant’Angelo famous for “il Passetto”, the secret passage connecting the Vatican with the notorious Castel. Discover Bernini’s angels on the Ponte S. Angelo (Bridge of Angels) over the Tiber.

Il terzo altare è la Chiesa di Santa Maria della Vittoria (FUOCO). Nell'ultima Cappella sulla sinistra chiamata la Cappella Cornaro, si trova la stupefacente statua del Bernini "L'etasi di Santa Teresa", che rappresenta una donna che pare infiammata dalla passione. La tela, che pare del tutto inadatta ad un luogo di culto cristiano ,è stata definita da un critico inglese addirittura "pornografica".
La Fontana dei 4 Fiumi , capolavoro di Bernini,è il quarto altare (ACQUA) situata nell'imponente e animata Piazza Navona. Il nostro tour si concluderà con una sosta al Pantheon, l'immenso tempio dedicato a tutti gli dei pagani e trasformato in Chiesa Cristiana. Questo maestoso edificio è surmanotato dalla cupolo più grande dell'antichità.
The third Altar is the Church of St. Maria della Vittoria (FIRE). Inside the last Chapel on the left (Cornaro Chapel), the astonishing Ecstasy of St. Teresa, a woman inflamed by passion’s fire. Bernini’s masterpiece and also the most unfit ornament ever to be placed in a Christian church, according to an English critic who considered it pornographic. Outside the church you will recognise the Hotel Bernini.
The Fountain of the Four Rivers is our last Altar (WATER). Piazza Navona, one of the most beautiful squares in Rome famous for its Fountain of the Four Rivers, one of Bernini’s most celebrated sculptures.
The tours finishes with a visit at the Pantheon, the huge temple devoted to all pagan gods and goddesses that became a Christian church. It is covered by the largest dome ever built in ancient times.
